When is your open season?
Short term camping at Walnut Hills Family Campground, managed by GatherGrounds Resorts runs from May 1st to September 30th. However, we have an extended season for our seasonal sites. For folks renting a seasonal site, they will have access to all that the campground offers from May 1st, 2026 to October 20th, 2026.
What are your seasonal rates?
Seasonal Site Rates at Walnut Hills:
Most of our 2026 seasonal site availability ranges from $3,000 to $4,000/season, with a limited supply of premium sites available ranging from $4,500 to $5,000/season. Walnut Hills seasonal rates reflect the premium amenities, extensive renovations, and unique natural features that make it one of the region’s most popular seasonal site destinations.
Looking for seasonal options with a different style or setting?
Our sister property, The Oaks Campground, offers seasonal sites ranging from $2,100 to $3,200 per season. With a spacious layout and relaxed atmosphere, The Oaks has a growing list of enhancements since GatherGrounds added it to their family of properties for the 2026 camping season. Many guests appreciate having two GatherGrounds locations with distinct experiences, allowing them to choose the environment and seasonal site price range that fits their ideal camping lifestyle.
Site Specific Pricing for Walnut Hills:
For site specific pricing, site pictures, and type of hookups on each available seasonal site, you can view that by clicking here for our “book now” button.
Once in the interactive booking software, simply enter a future date range that is during our camping season (May 1st through October 20th), and the software will display the available seasonal sites with a orange overlay box on top of the site. Then you’re able to click the site and you’ll see the picture, site cost, and details about the site.
Do you charge for power?
Power is billed based on usage every month.
Do you charge for winter storage of the unit?
There is no additional fee to store your unit on site through the winter months as long as you are returning for the next season.
Are golf carts allowed?
Electric golf carts are allowed and we will offer golf cart rentals starting in 2025.
Can you have a deck or shed?
Decks and a shed are allowed.
