Why campers visit Amish Country
Amish Country in eastern Ohio draws visitors from all over the country. Our guests tell us they love the Amish-run shops and businesses, and an Amish cheese factory is a popular stop. The drive itself is part of the fun, through the rolling hills and farm country of eastern Ohio.
Amish craftsmanship at the campground
You don’t have to leave the park to see local Amish work. Ridge Ranch’s lakeside pavilion was built by local Amish craftsmen, a beautiful piece of woodworking, about 50 by 30 feet, that hosts weekend events through the summer. It sits next to the beach, with a shaded picnic area between the pavilion and the water.
